چکیده
To explore metal-metal multiple bonds between first row transition metals, Ti/Co complexes supported by two phosphinoamide ligands have been synthesized and characterized. The Ti metalloligand Cl2Ti(XylNPiPr2)2 (1) was treated with CoI2 under reducing conditions, permitting isolation of the Ti/Co complex [(μ-Cl)Ti(XylNPiPr2)2CoI]2 (2). One electron reduction of complex 2 affords ClTi(XylNPiPr2)2CoPMe3 (3), which features a metal-metal triple bond and an unprecedentedly short Ti-Co distance of 2.0236(9) Å. This complex is shown to promote the McMurry coupling reaction of aryl ketones into alkenes, with concomitant formation of the tetranuclear complex [Ti(μ3-O)(NXylPiPr2)2CoI]2 (4). The zinc(II) complex [Zn2(dmdtc)2(μ-dmdtc)2] has been synthesized directly from thiram ligand, containing a disulfide bond {dmdtc = N,N-dimethyldithiocarbamate; thiram = N,N-tetramethylthiuram disulfide}, and characterized by elemental analysis and spectroscopic methods. Surprisingly thiram, undergoes a reductive disulfide bond scission upon reaction with Zn2+ in methanolic media to give the [Z...
متن کاملNickel(0)-catalyzed intramolecular reductive coupling of alkenes and aldehydes or ketones with hydrosilanes.
A nickel(0)-catalyzed reductive coupling of aldehydes and simple alkenes with hydrosilanes has been developed. A variety of silyl-protected 1-indanol derivatives were prepared in a highly diastereoselective manner (up to >99 : 1 dr) by employing a combination of nickel(0)/N-heterocyclic carbene and triethylsilane. The present system was also applied to a reductive coupling with ketones. Prelimi...
متن کاملSynthesis, Characterization and Catalytic Activity of Ligand Stabilized Palladium Nanoparticle: A Catalyst Compliment to the Heck Coupling Reaction
The palladium metal is the most frequently used metal because of its excellent catalytic efficiency and most flexible varying oxidation state. So, we report that palladium nanoparticles (Pd NPs) stabilized by a ligand (o-vanilindiphenylethanedionedihydrazone, L) using reverse micelles method have been synthesized, while all particles are in spherical shape and ranging between 10 and...
متن کاملEnantioselective CuH-Catalyzed Reductive Coupling of Aryl Alkenes and Activated Carboxylic Acids
A new method for the enantioselective reductive coupling of aryl alkenes with activated carboxylic acid derivatives via copper hydride catalysis is described. Dual catalytic cycles are proposed, with a relatively fast enantioselective hydroacylation cycle followed by a slower diastereoselective ketone reduction cycle. Symmetrical aryl carboxyclic anhydrides provide access to enantioenriched α-s...
